KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Athletics Department is pleased to announce the hiring of former NBA broadcaster, Ted Davis, as the new lead Sports Broadcaster and voice of the Schreiner Mountaineers.
Ted Davis, a native of Lubbock, Texas, will be making his return to the lone star state after spending the last 37 years calling games for the National Basketball Association's Dallas Mavericks (13 years) and Milwaukee Bucks (24 years). A major highlight of his time in Milwaukee, was the Bucks 2021 NBA Championship in which Ted had the privilege of being on the call for.
Outside of NBA broadcasting, Ted has also spent time at the Major League Baseball level calling games for the Texas Rangers, he has spent 20 years working in Dallas radio at KVIL FM, and has called numerous football and basketball games for Texas Christian University and Texas A&M University.
Now, after retiring from NBA broadcasting and returning home to Texas, Ted will spend his time with Schreiner University Athletics as the department's lead Sports Broadcaster and new voice of the Schreiner Mountaineers.
