Tennis Achieves Academic Excellence by the ITA

Kerrville, TX- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced their Division III ITA Scholar Athletes and Schreiner had five women and five men achieve this honor.  

To become an ITA Scholar Athlete, a player is to have at least a 3.5 GPA for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. 

 

The athletes who were named 2026 ITA Scholar Athletes are as follows: 

 

Men 

  • Manny Flores 

  • Grant Romero 

  • Logan Sifford 

  • Jason Soto 

  • Quince Lawler 

 

Women 

  • Sonnae Garcia 

  • Mikinley Jamison 

  • Katherine Bergeron 

  • Ally Leonard 

  • Maya Jackson 

 

In addition, the Women's Tennis team was named as an ITA All-Academic Team.  

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following: 

Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
